Lourd Vijay (founder & Artistic Director) is a principal Promoter of Latin culture music and Dance in the Asian Region. A dancer, an innovative choreographer and a very able instructor. Lourd has travelled to the US, Canada, UK, Israel, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, UAE to train under renowned dance instructors like Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez, Alex Da Silva, Liz Lira, etc. and also to participate in international festival and congresses. With this global experience, he brings the latest dance styles and concepts to his students in India.

Lourd Vijay has revolutionized Indian-western dance over and over again in India - most notably, by introducing Salsa in 1997. Closely associated with the Indian Society for Performers and Teachers of Dance and the India Salsa club he has focused on popularising Salsa in cities like Bangalore, Mysore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Chennai, Delhi, Pondicherry, Auroville, Colombo and other cities. Of his most recent accomplishments, Lourd Vijay counts being invited to conduct Salsa workshops at the World Salsa Congress, Italy and thrilling workshops conducted by him at Salsa Festivals in Hong Kong, Singapore as well as in Colombo, Taipei and Bangkok.

He has fond memories of choreographing and working in many theatre productions and Bollywood Production including the Jackie Chan starrer 'The Myth".

Lourd Vijay is currently devoting his considerable energies towards the success of his newly launched label Wear2dance - a ready to wear collection that brings you clothes that are not just appropriate to dance in, but extremely comfortable as well. He is also setting up a performing arts hub and arena in India, networking and building a database of Performing artists from across the country be it classical, folkloric or tribal, in order to promote both up coming as well as established artists.
